Château Marcel is a 19th-century mansion in the medieval wine-producing village of Cesseras in the Minervois in the Hérault Departement of Occitania .
Chateau Marcel is centrally located for everything that Occitania has to offer, from sun-drenched Mediterranean beaches to the cool freshness of the Montagne Noire, from the marvelous Canal du Midi to the ancient Cathar fortresses and castles, from wine tasting in the countless ‘caves’ amongst the vineyards to the shopping and nightlife of bustling cities such as Narbonne, Carcassonne and Béziers. “There are many reasons to return to Chateau Marcel. The accommodation, the lovely authentic French village, the countryside, the (free) wine and the food . However , the standouts are the hosts. They bend over backwards to provide an authentic “French” experience without encroaching on your personal space. They supply bikes, advice and lots of knowledge about the local geography , cuisine and wine. We loved it and were sad to leave. We will be back!!”

The warm welcome upon arrival. The Chateau is situated in a historic town which is very charming. The location is also great as you can drive to many beautiful locations in less than one hour. We were also privileged to take part in the yearly town ‘festival’. The host is very good in advising where to go for dinner or which town is worth a visit. Definitely ask Rene for some guidance. And of course the excellent wine was a nice extra…
